Tall Ships

I've been motivated lately to do some house stuff but blogging about painting popcorn ceilings and trim work is boring. So, instead I'll highlight my Sunday Fun Day.
I headed down to Canal Park & Bayfront Park for this:

There were a total of 9 tall ships docked in front of the DECC & by Bayfront Park:
There were pirates and maids:

The festival wound down at 5pm just in time for a 6pm showing of Pirates of Penzance on the gorgeous Bayfront stage:
There really is nothing like watching a production or show with beautiful Lake Superior as the back drop!
The show was a collaboration of actors and singers from UMD's School of Fine Arts and the Duluth Playhouse:
The show was pretty cute and humorous:
