indulgent

It's been a doozy couple of days.
For breakfast on Sunday I had greek yogurt sweetened with honey and then topped it with an apple and some cinnamon:

Lunch was Potato Leek Soup:
and a handful of crack:
Seriously THE BEST kettle chip flavor!
On Sunday night, we had our inaugural dinner club party.
Here are the dinner club couples...
Nellie & Bruce:
Henry & Nikki:
and their pooch Stella:
Mike and I forgot to take a picture of ourselves.

This month Nikki & Henry hosted and we were in charge of bringing an appetizer and a beverage. We brought homemade pita chips and a feta-roasted red pepper dip. It had lots of gahhhlic:
Paired with a mini keg of:
It was also the Superbowl so we did some chillin in the living room:
and the kitchen:
Nikki and Henry made rack of lamb and a citrus salad:
Henry pulled out these fantastic reds for dinner:

Henry informed us that Ken Wright is the godfather of Oregon Pinot Noir. Such a treat!!
Nellie and Bruce brought Pineapple Upside Down Cake and Brown Sugar Ice Cream:
Everything was totally delicious and I'm really glad we started this up. When I got home, I realized that there weren't any photos of me from the night. So, Mikey did a quick photo shoot of me at home:
Next month, another couple-Kaija & Dean- will be able to join us.
On Monday, I started out with my usual oatmeal but added frozen raspberries to the mix (and no peanut butter... sad):

Lunch was Potato Leek soup:
I did a 50 minute spin class for exercise so I refueled with some hummus and veggies:
Due to our busy weekend, we didn't get to the grocery store. So, we ordered in VIP for dinner so we wouldn't miss our favorite Monday night shows. VIP has a special on Monday nights where you can get a 12" pepperoni pizza for $6.95:
Sadly, I didn't get to watch any of the Monday night shows. I spent 5 hours in our office doing homework while Mikey laughed away downstairs. Have I mentioned how excited I am to be done with school?
On top of eating pizza, I also had some squares of chocolate and lots of tea.

The baker at Mike's work omitted sugar from a batch of scones so she was looking to get rid of them. So, Mikey brought home a bag of these beauties:
The best part is, I didn't even miss the sugar in the dough. The sprinkled sugar on top was sufficient sweetener for me. Unfortunately, I don't have the best willpower with these suckers! So, I had one for breakfast on Tuesday with my oatmeal. I had more potato leek soup for lunch and then veggie nuggets ($2 coupon) from Pizza Luce for dinner:
Mikey ordered a Wrangler pizza for himself:
Of course, I had a slice of that as well. Can you tell we've been running a little ragged lately? We're ordering out so much! No energy to cook or even grocery shop! I had class on Tuesday night which meant that my first case study was due. I spent about 20 hours on the sucker within a 36 hour time span. So, I also enjoyed a beer with my nuggets. Total stress eating! I konked out pretty early on Tuesday night.
Wednesday started out with greek yogurt and raspberries and a scone:
I started this post on Wednesday and it is now Friday so I'll finish off the week in another post. Stay tuned...
