beginning to look like Cmas

We went to the grocery store Tuesday night so we finally had some health food in the house.
For breakfast on Wednesday, I had:
I wanted to try this Apricot & Cranberry granola. It's 140 cals per serving so I brought the measuring scoop with me to work so that I can portion it out over the week. Oikos wasn't on sale either so Blue Bunny Light was my default. It's not nearly as good but it works in a pinch.
For lunch, I had the usual veggie sandwich & soup:
I loved the Minestrone soup last week and so I wanted to get some this week. However, Amy's Minestrone was $3.29 a can! So, I settled on Progresso Minestrone for $1.29. My review: It was pretty crummy. The potatoes and pasta were slimy in the soup! I'll have to stock up on Amy's soups when they are on sale next time.
I squeezed in a 30 minute interval workout on the stationary bike today.
In the evening, I headed to book club. I had an array of veggies, a square of pizza, some salmon, chocolate dipped pretzels and some wine. I didn't want to freak out any of the book clubbers, so I didn't bring my camera. I just love those gals! It was the release I needed. I got home around 9pm and Mikey had done all the domestic chores(even laundry). He is the best!

So for today, I had a yummy breakfast of yogurt, granola and a pear:
I should have let the pear ripen for a few more days:)
Lunch was another veggie sandwich:
and 1/2 can of this:
Again, not very good soup. I think I've gotten a bit spoiled with Mikey's homemade soups. Canned soups taste so gross!
I almost talked myself out of a workout but decided I wanted a glass of wine tonight so I did a 30 minute interval workout on the elliptical before leaving work. Once home, I had a classic MN dinner of meat, potatoes and MILK:
This is my biggest pet peeve with Blogger... the photo above uploaded from my camera to the laptop correctly but then uploaded incorrectly to Blogger and I can't fix it! So, sorry for the weird photo. I had leftover mashed potatoes from Thanksgiving, a summer sausage sandwich and a glass o' milk.
Soon after dinner, the doorbell rang and our neighbor dropped off a box of virginia ham and provolone cheese sandwiches. 60 of them! Oye vey! Annie went NUTS at the doorbell and so I didn't even get a chance to thank her. Damn dog!
Currently, I'm watching Must See TV and enjoying my second glass of:
This was the last of our gift certificate to Last Chance Liquor. It's only appropriate that we finish it off with the wine that Nikki & Henry had at their wedding. Cheers!!

My weekly weigh-in was mostly status quo this morning. I was down 0.5 pounds which is kind of a bummer since it means I basically gained back everything I lost in the past few weeks. Yo-yo....
Now it's 3 weeks of discipline and hard work to lose as much of my 10 pound goal as possible. I know it would help to cut out the wine during the week but I REALLY like it. I think I also need to cut back on the carbs and add more protein in the form of beans. They are the magical fruit after all:)
